The Wellbeing – Real Advice for Real Life (from the women who get it)

1. What are you most proud of?

Oh so many things – first and foremost on a more personal level, transforming a very difficult and struggle-filled past into a beautiful, love-filled life and future. I often have moments when I’m with my hubby and daughter, whilst pregnant again, and I look around me and wonder how on earth this incredible life I have today even happened. I never ever take it for granted. Also my work is something I am deeply proud of. Knowing that I have actively contributed in a woman’s deep and powerful healing and watching her transform her life and step into her power is something I will never get tired of. I have finally gotten to a place in my work where I truly believe anything and everything is possible, there really are no limits and I feel like I am only just getting started. This way of living and this sense of deep fulfilment and purpose is something I feel incredible proud of, every single day.

2. When did you last feel scared?

Last night. I had a huge rush of fear about the future. Fear of all the unknowns that lie ahead of me. I was on the precipice of launching a huge new digital project, which I’ve invested so much time, love, money, energy and heart into and I felt fear! PLUS it all began sinking in that in a few months time I will be a mother of two… I shared my fears with my hubby and decided to not ‘do’ anything about any of it, except have a bath and go to bed early. I woke this morning feeling excited and grateful that it had passed.

3. What was the last thing that made you belly laugh?

Yesterday when I woke up to find out a very inspiring woman I knew had passed away. I was all caught up in the deep meaning of life and feeling very emotional (and a little hormonal) and I called my husband into the bedroom (who was desperately trying to get out in time to his cricket match) to share my deep and profound thoughts with him… and he looked up at me and said “Honey, right now I just need to find my green shorts.” It was so hilarious I couldn’t stop laughing. Sometimes it’s good for me to remember to not take life too seriously!

4. Who inspires you the most?

Every single person who is willing to really take on his or her life. To face challenges, fears, doubts and blocks and do the work that’s needed to heal, transform, grow, evolve & change. I am lucky enough to meet people like this in my work on a daily basis and it is always deeply inspiring and provides a huge sense of hope.

5. What book do you re-read most often?

The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle and The More Beautiful World Our Hearts Know is Possible by Charles Eisenstein are two books I’ve been using a lot lately to reference from whilst teaching and facilitating. And Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts is an all-time favourite holiday read.

6. What one delicious thing do you do, just for yourself, every day?

I moisturise daily no matter what, and I sit in meditation for 20min every day, which is sacred solitude time for me.

7. What tech rules do you have (if any)?

Sadly I have set so many ‘rules’ and I tend to break them frequently. But on a whole I don’t post on IG over the weekends unless I really really have to for a work project. And hubby and I have started keeping our phones and any electronics out of the bedroom at night.

8. What was the last thing you ate that made you say ‘yuuuuuum!’ out loud?

The Veggie Burger I made myself on Saturday when we had a family BBQ. Black Bean & Rice Veggie Burger, tomato, cucumber, garlic mayo, hummus and tomato salsa in a spelt burger bun. It was HEAVEN!!

9. What classes/practices make your body feel better, stronger, healthier?

Well before I was pregnant I loved a good Spin class and I loved my local yoga class at Yoga on The Lane in Hackney. But lately, with the big bump things are obviously changing a lot. So I’m loving walking daily, I’ve been having regular healing massage with the MOST incredible healer and body worker I work with (she’s not online so is my little secret) and I have regular cranial-sacral osteopathy treatments to help my hips and body get into alignment as I prepare for birthing my son. All of these things are really helping me feel better, stronger and more empowered.

10. What super-simple ways do you bring Real Wellbeing into a busy day?

I have quite a ritual around making myself a latte or builder’s tea – it seems to bring me such joy!
